10 Kid-Friendly Gaming Channels You Can Still Enjoy as a Teen (or Adult)
Kirsten | Posted August 2, 2021 | Updated April 14, 2023
This post is the most popular on my blog by far, so I created a second post with gaming channel recommendations. :D I think you guys would also enjoy it if my bro makes a guest appearance here so I've talked to him about it and we're going to make it happen. 😎
I have a grading scale for how clean content is now. It's pretty straightforward, but if you want to understand it better, then check out my Blog Update 1.0. The main thing to know is that lower PG applies to first grade and up, while upper PG upplies to third/fourth grade and up.
#1 Slogo/Jelly/Crainer
Slogo often collaborates with two other gamers, Jelly and Crainer. Slogo is the one I find most entertaining, so that’s why I’m listing him as the main channel. However, Jelly and Crainer’s content is similar to Slogo’s so if you like his, or want a slightly different perspective, check them out.
On Slogo’s channel there is a lot of Roblox, Minecraft, Gang Beasts, and Prop Hunt played. His content is slightly technical, but more focused on just having fun. I was new to gaming when I first started watching him and his videos were an entertaining way to get an idea of how games like Minecraft or Among Us worked just by watching his gameplay. I have to add that this is a great channel to go to for ideas on how to prank your friends in Minecraft (full out prank wars are quite common here).
Overall, Slogo’s content is mostly clean. His older content contains more swearing (anything from 2019 is fairly inappropriate and it gets increasingly worse the farther back you go), but now it’s rare to ever hear a curse in one of his videos. Occasionally he still plays bloody games or swears, but for the most part you could watch this with your younger sibling (or just yourself if you’re like me).
I am going to list videos for each channel below my review so y'all can get an idea of what they're like.
#2 Dream
On Dream’s channel, 99% of the content is Minecraft. His playing is pretty legendary and kind of hard to understand as a newbie to the Minecraft scene, but still entertaining. A large majority of his content is speedrunner vs. hunter, so if you like to watch those challenges then you’ll love his channel.
Dream’s content is mostly clean (there might be occasional moments where they swear or make a suggestive joke that would go over your younger sibling’s head). When he streams, there is quite a bit of inappropriate talk, so I’d be wary of watching a video of him not directly from his channel. If it’s on his channel, though, you’re good to go.
#3 GeorgeNotFound
GeorgeNotFound and Dream collaborate a lot, but their content is very different, so I listed them separately. While Dream does a lot of speedrunner vs. hunter content, George sticks more to Minecraft mods and unique challenges such as putting on a T-shirt every minute. Like Dream, his channel is majorly focused on Minecraft.
There are references on his and Dream’s channels to other YouTubers on the Dream SMP who aren’t clean, which can make it hard to follow (since you’re not watching their videos). However, there is a really great, clean channel, EvanMCGaming, that summarizes what goes on in the SMP for people. Despite there being many references to the Dream SMP in their videos, Dream and George don’t make videos directly related to it so you don’t have to understand the Dream SMP to watch them.
George’s content is the same as Dream’s. As long as you stay on his channel and don’t watch videos of him elsewhere, the most you’ll get is a few suggestive jokes here and there.
#4 Grian/Mumbo Jumbo/iskall85
(The Bar is Empty Which Means These Channels are Squeaky Clean ✨)
I picked Grian as the main channel because he was the first Hermitcraft player I started watching. Hermitcraft is kind of the master builder, more chill version of the Dream SMP. It's just as entertaining, but less depressing (the DSMP is so dramatic, guys). Grian’s content focuses on the architectural side of Minecraft. He constructs elaborate buildings and occasionally offers tips on how best to build in Minecraft. Like Dream and George, his content is at least 99% Minecraft.
As a general rule, all of the Hermitcraft gamers are super wholesome. They kind of remind me of hobbits, to be honest (not gonna lie - it took me a while to realize it was Hermitcraft and not Hobbitcraft). Also, I just have to mention Mumbo Jumbo's iconic Fast & Furious-horse fusion to argue that Hermitcraft can be just as chaotic as the DSMP.
#5 Ssundee/LoafX
Ssundee and Loaf play with a whole lot of other gamers who are clean such as Henwy and Biffle, but because there are so many I decided to only list the ones who I watch regularly. Ssundee’s channel focuses on Among Us, but he plays other games and occasionally drops reaction videos. They play Among Us with a host of different mods. Just about any concept you can imagine, they’ve tried.
I don't really share Sundee's taste in humor, but my siblings love him. If you don’t like his channel, you have a whole variety of other gamers who play with him you can try watching instead. He and the other gamers in his circle are about as close to 100% clean as you can get, although they tend to yell (which a lot of parents don't appreciate in the YouTube videos their kids watch).
#6 ScrapMan
ScrapMan’s channel focuses on Trailmakers, Scrap Mechanic, and Main Assembly. ScrapMan is also about as close to 100% clean as you can get. He collaborates with other channels like kAN Gaming, Moonbo, and Kosmonaut who seem clean from his videos (I haven’t watched videos on their channels, though). ScrapMan’s channel is pretty much exclusively about building machines in-game. The guy is squeaky clean but really for kids in upper elementary, just because of how technical his videos are.
People who are into cars, mechanics, and building stuff would probably really like this channel. You don’t have to be into these things to watch him though. I’m not into that stuff as much, but I still enjoy his videos from time to time.
#7 Fru
I have to admit that my brother recommended Fru’s channel. I hopped on Fru’s channel to get an idea of what it's like and watched his most recent video at the time, Minecraft, But You Can Combine Any Items..., which I found pretty interesting. However, that’s the only exposure I’ve ever had to his channel. From what I’ve seen, it’s super clean so I would recommend it. I just wanted to give a warning in case I got the wrong impression of his channel. His content mostly focuses on surviving hardcore challenges in Minecraft or Minecraft Multiplayer Survival.
#8 RyanNotBrian
RyanNotBrian is another one my brother recommended. His channel does a lot of Minecraft War and Hide or Hunt content. I watched his -also interesting- video, Entering a hostile Minecraft Base.. disguised as them (MC WAR), which gave me the impression he uses a lot of war and survival tactics in his videos. If you like battle royale games and you like Minecraft, this is probably the channel for you. My impression of his channel is that it’s mostly clean (he swore once in the video I watched).
#9 UnspeakableGaming
UnspeakableGaming is the third, and last, gamer from my brother’s recommendations. UnspeakableGaming’s channel is focused on Minecraft and includes a lot of mods & challenges. For those of you who’ve seen Slogo, Jelly, or Crainer’s videos, UnspeakableGaming seems to have a similar layout to his content. Despite that, the way he’s high-strung and yells about everything kind of reminds me of Ssundee. That was just my impression--let me know what you think in the comments.
#10 Ranboo
This gamer is also from the Dream SMP. He isn’t as clean as the other gamers listed (some of the guests on his channel swear occasionally, but that’s mostly it), hence why I saved him for last. Still, I feel like his personality is pretty wholesome compared to a lot of gamers, so I wanted to include him.
Ranboo’s content is fairly Minecraft-focused, but doesn’t have much of a theme beyond that. What makes his channel stand out is his entertaining commentary rather than his gaming.
Update: Ranboo's most recent video has stated that he's planning to move on to content other than MineCraft and gaming. He also doesn't seem as oriented to a younger audience any more. I would remove him from my recommendations, but his videos from before "The Ranboo Recap" still fit the criteria of my post. Just know that anything after that video will probably not fit the description I gave of his channel in this post.
I just want to take a minute to thank my bro for all these great recommendations because (at least for me) finding clean gamers is hard. Thanks, bro.

That’s it for today. I hope that was helpful for those of you who needed some clean gaming channels to watch. I certainly would have appreciated this article a few months ago when I was trying to find clean channels. Have fun relaxing and let me know if you want some more gaming channel recommendations!
