Clean Summer Songs for Grooving

I watched Sound of Freedom yesterday, and it was even better than I expected, although also much darker.  I would definitely put it under the "Not Clean, Good Theme" rating.  It's officially rated PG-13, but it's about human trafficking, so it's a bit heavy for young teens.  Anyway, if you're older, I would definitely recommend.  :)

I wanted to do this post because I really enjoyed the one I did about summer songs last year.  I'm not going to pretend I'm an expert in song composition or music theory, so my commentary on these songs is pretty short.

#1  George Ezra - “Shotgun”

Unsurprisingly, this song is great for car rides or road trips, where are a staple of summer.  It's also apparently about Australia, which is the land of summer (people go to the beach for Christmas!), so what else can I say.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

#2  JAWNY - “Honeypie”

Maybe I'm being too sensitive, but I think this song is kind of suggestive.  Well, it's up to you what to decide on this song.  All I can say is it's 100% groovy and 100% packed with happy summer vibes.

#3  Glass Animals - "I Don't Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance)" [clean edit]

This song talks about kissing and mentions cigarettes.  It's from Glass Animals, the group behind the viral "Heat Waves," so it's obviously a bop.  Any retro song is perfect for summer, and this one is no exception.  The original isn't clean, so I linked a clean edit.  I couldn't find a clean lyric video.

#4  John K - "Cheap Sunglasses"

An underrated song to bop to in your car while passersby stare.

#5  Redimi2 (ft. Madiel Lara) - “Bacha Drill”

What's not to love about a Christian-reggaeton-summer-hype song?  No, really.

#6  Pentagon - "SUMMER!"

There were no good English translations of this song so I pasted the Korean lyrics in Google Translate, and it looks clean.  ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ  The song is literally called "SUMMER!" and it's from the extremely talented Pentagon, so I don't need to say anything.

#7  MKTO - “Classic” [clean edit]

This song  is such a classic.  ...Get it?  (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧  Haha, I crack myself up.  Anyway, they do say some suggestive things in this song, and this is the clean edit, so be warned.

#8  Harry Styles - “Late Night Talking”

I'm not really a fan of Harry Styles (sorry, fans), but they love to blare this song where I work.  It's too catchy.

#9  Chris Tomlin (ft. Thomas Rhett & Florida Georgia Line) - “Thank You Lord”

My friend's dad showed this song to me and described it as the ultimate country collab, so...

#10  Dan Bremnes - “Fingerprints”

I don't know why, but this gives me early 2000s vibes, like Regina Spektor and early Sabrina Carpenter...  I don't know, tell me if I'm crazy.  I could imagine picnicking to this song.  P.S.  The music video is amazing, check it out.
