10 Clean Songs for Summer Vibing

So I saw Maverick a few weeks ago, and I really liked it. I would definitely recommend watching it to teens and up. There was a song in the movie that was catchy and had really strong summer vibes. I began listening to it on our long road trips and came up with the idea for this post thanks to that. ...So yeah, that's my story-time for today.

Summer is quickly passing before my eyes, so I wanted to make another post for the season before fall shows up and I have to move on. :')

#1 Nicky Youre, dazy - “Sunroof”

This is summer pop 100% of the way. What I love about this song is that it's so optimistic for a love song. If you need a mood boost, just put this on.

I guess this is summer hip hop? (^^ ;) Anyway, this song only brings good vibes. My hip and goofy friend introduced this song to me, so thank you, friend. :) She also introduced me to "Sunroof," so now y'all know what her taste is. This post is 90% inspired by her. The other 10% is me. :D Anyway, I love that this song is a reference to the "sheesh!" meme.

This genre is garage band, I guess. Is that a genre? Update: I looked it up and it is "alternative/indie." Well, OK GO is iconic so if you don't know them, check them out. Their music videos are next level. We used to watch them in music class in elementary, so I can say with confidence that they're kid-friendly.

YOOOOOO! It's the song that convinced me to make this post. Blast this at parties, blast this at picnics, blast this at the pool–this song is perfect fpr anything summer. This is probably pop, but the drums are throwing me off. Well, it's catchy, and that's what matters. There's some shirtlessness in the music video.

Now that I'm going to live in the midwest of the U.S, I gotta familiarize myself with country music. I'm curious, is Thomas Rhett's music considered authentic country or not? Sometimes these popular singers are seen as kind of watering down their genre by making music in more of a pop style. Anyway, this song is great for driving your car and looking up at the sky with. Very summer-y.

There is one line that says "tangled up with your lips on mine," but other than that it's clean. There are some outfits that show skin in the music video, and also there's some kissing.

I heard this pop song at Kohl's in Seattle, so thank you, Khol's (lol). This song is such a bop, with a unique backtrack and "Cast Aways" (that Backyardigans' song that got popular on TikTok) vibes, but for some reason it's still underrated. The singer is a Kiwi (she's from New Zealand), which just makes all this even better! (I have a lot of friends from New Zealand, so I get over-excited about topics related to it)

I wanted to bring a variety of songs to the table, and when I was thinking of Kpop, this one came to mind. "Our Summer" has the cheerful, pop beat of a typical summer-y song that would be blasted at the pool in the U.S. Maybe because it also has a nostalgic feel to it, this song is kind of underrated in my opinion. The subtitles of the lyric video are not clean.

Yes, this song is Christian and it's about thankfulness. I wanted to be upfront for people who feel they shouldn't listen to Christian music because of their own religion (or some other reason). Anyway, most of Danny Gokey's songs are super catchy but this one is special because it falls under the Latin genre. I could not make a post about summer songs without including some Latin. A retro song, how exciting! I feel like most DSMP fans are into retro music which is how I came to like the genre. I feel like most retro songs have super strong summer vibes, so I wanted to include at least one in this post. This is one of my favorite retro songs, in part because this song makes me think of stormy days and I love rain. It's totally clean except that it mentions kissing. In the future, I'll make a clean retro song post so stay tuned, retro fan! ( ^^)b Since I couldn't find any videos from BØRNS that I thought were good enough quality or clean enough for this post, I only attached a lyric video.

#10 Camilo, Shawn Mendes - “Kesi” (remix)

I'm a fan of Shawn Mendes because he's a fan of NF (but also he's a talented singer) and I know Camilo because I have one of his songs in my list of clean reggaeton songs to recommend in the futue. When I heard this song in Bed, Bath, & Beyond in Bangkok and used my Shazam app on it (because I'm that type of person), I flipped out when I saw they had collabed on this. The song is so pretty and catchy, too. If you want to feel like you're at the beach, put this song on. This is my other Latin recommendation, by the way. :) The song mentions kissing.

Well, guys.... I've started working on the post where my brother makes a guest appearance, but it might not be uploaded for 2-3 weeks.
